Terms of Service (English)
This is the English version of the CONSULINS Terms of Service. Where the Korean text and this English text differ, the Korean text (https://consulins.com/terms) governs.
Korean version v1.4 · Effective date: to be announced on this page
Purpose
These Terms set out the conditions and procedures for using CONSULINS, an AI-based consulting information platform operated by CONSULINS (an individual business operator), and the rights, obligations and responsibilities of the company and its users. (Article 1)
Posting and changes
The Terms are posted on the service and may be amended within the limits of the law. Amendments are announced at least 7 days before they apply, or at least 30 days before for changes that are unfavourable to users. A member who raises no objection within that period is deemed to agree, and a member who does not agree may end the agreement by withdrawing before the amendment applies. (Article 3)
What the service is
CONSULINS is an AI-based information processing tool. It processes and analyses information in fields such as law, tax, patents and real estate, but it never provides professional services such as legal, tax, patent or brokerage work. AI results are reference information only and cannot be used as the basis for legal, tax or patent decisions. Licensed professionals who join as Expert members carry out professional work under their own licence and responsibility, and the company takes no part in contracts or fees between an Expert and a user. (Article 4)
Account
A user joins by completing the sign-up form and agreeing to these Terms. Sign-up may be refused, for example, if someone else's name or false information is used or the applicant is under 14. Members can also sign up or log in with a Kakao, Naver or Google account; the information received from those providers is described in the Privacy Policy. Members should keep their account information up to date. (Article 5)
Plans and credits
Paid features run on subscription plans and credits, with separate plans for individual users, Experts and businesses, and rules for changing plans. Prices, credit amounts and credit validity are set out in the Korean text (see the Korean text for amounts). (Article 6)
Payment and refunds
Payments are processed by NICEpay, and the company does not store card details. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. Refunds follow the rules in the Korean text — for example, a subscription can be cancelled with a full refund within 7 days of payment if no credits have been used. Refund requests go to support@consulins.com or the in-service support channel. If an AI result clearly differs from the service description or could not be delivered because of a technical error, the member can ask for the credits used for it to be returned within 7 days. (Article 7)
Limits of the AI service
AI results are generated by artificial intelligence and may contain errors (hallucinations) or miss the latest laws, court decisions or tax rules. Do not use them as the only basis for important decisions; a qualified professional should be consulted. The company does not guarantee that results are accurate, complete or up to date, and is not liable for losses from using them, except for its own intent or gross negligence. Where the company is liable, its total liability is limited to the amount the member paid in the 6 months before the event, except for intent or gross negligence. (Article 8)
Prohibited conduct
Users must not provide false information or use another person's identity, disrupt the service, infringe the company's intellectual property, collect other people's personal information without permission, use the service for unlawful purposes, use the service in bulk by automated means such as crawling or scraping, use results to build a similar service or to train AI models, transfer, lend or resell their account, or use another person's payment method. (Article 9)
Restriction and termination by the company
The company may restrict or suspend use, normally after notice, if a member gives false information, lets others use the account, does not pay, breaks these Terms or the law, or seriously disrupts the service. The member is told the reason, the period and how to object. If the cause is not corrected, the company may terminate the agreement. (Article 10)
Connecting with experts
Expert connection is a channel through which users and Expert members talk directly. The company takes no fee for it and is not a party to the relationship between the user and the expert. The minimum information needed (name or nickname, email and the request) is shared with the chosen expert only after the user agrees on a consent screen. (Article 12)
Your content and our rights
Rights to the data users enter belong to the users. User data is used for AI model training only with separate prior consent, which can be withdrawn at any time with the AI training toggle in My Page. The software and other intellectual property of the service belong to the company. Users may use AI results for personal reference, but commercial redistribution or unauthorised copying is prohibited. (Article 13)
Leaving the service
Members can withdraw at any time through the in-service withdrawal menu, support@consulins.com or the support channel. Withdrawal is completed within 5 business days. Personal information is kept for 30 days after withdrawal and then deleted permanently. Remaining credits expire on withdrawal, and paid subscriptions follow the refund rules in Article 7. (Article 14)
Changes to the service
The company may change the service and announces important changes in advance. The service may be paused for maintenance, emergencies, major infrastructure failures or security threats. (Article 15)
Governing law and disputes
Disputes are first resolved by discussion. If that fails, the competent court under the Korean Civil Procedure Act has first-instance jurisdiction. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and members may also apply to a dispute mediation body. (Article 17)
Other matters and contact
Matters not covered here follow the relevant Korean laws. Questions can be sent to support@consulins.com or the in-service support channel. The effective date of these Terms will be announced on this page. (Article 18)
